Black Caviar set to resume in Schillaci Stakes 2011

September 29th, 2011

Super mare Black Caviar is set to resume for the Spring Racing Carnival in the 2011 Schillaci Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday 8th October.

The Schillaci Stakes, a group 2 weight-for-age sprint race over 1000m and worth $200,000, was won by Black Caviar in 2010. In 2011, Black Caviar is hoping to extend her unbeaten run of wins to 14.

Black Caviar has completed an impressive jump-out in the lead up to the Schillaci Stakes, easily accounting for her competitors in a 800 metre trial at Caulfield.

Horses set to take on Black Caviar in the Schillaci Stakes 2011 include the Neville Layt-trained Karuta Queen.

After the Schillaci Stakes, Black Caviar’s spring target will be the Group 1 Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington.
