The 2013 Schillaci Stakes will take place under weight-for-age conditions and is open to horses aged three-years-old and upwards.

Scheduled to run as part of Caulfield Guineas Day, the race shares its program with the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas, Group 1 Caulfield Stakes, Group 1 Toorak Handicap, Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes, Group 3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes, Group 3 Northwood Plume Stakes and Listed Weekend Hussler Stakes.

Snitzerland’s trainer, Gerald Ryan, has listed the 2013 Schillaci Stakes as a possible target for this year’s spring racing carnival.

The four-year-old has won seven of her 14 race starts and has earned more than $1.53 million in prize money during her horse racing career.

Snitzerland will either target the Group 1 Manikato Stakes or the Group 1 Patinack Farm Classic as her Group 1 assignment.

“We just want to get a Group 1 against her name and we will see what we do after that,” Ryan said.

“She is coming up really well.

“She looks good, she is heavier and stronger.”

Snitzerland has not had a run since finishing seventh in the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes at Morphettville Racecourse in April.
